While bathing in the canal in Kasganj, the teenagers did not realize that while bathing, they would go into deep water. Sohail was able to escape with the help of divers, but his face was filled with grief over his fellow teenagers drowning in the canal. He also regretted that other comrades could not be saved.
Sohail told that earlier there was not much water where he was bathing. We were bathing comfortably, but as we progressed further, the water became too much and all the companions became victims of this accident. Shahrukh, the young man who had already reached Hazara Canal, was also regretful that his efforts could not succeed. The young man Bhure, who was present on the canal, told that he was far away from the place of the accident when the accident happened. When I heard some noise I looked back. There people were seen trying to save the drowning teenagers, but within some time five teenagers went missing.
Sadar MLA and former MLA reached the spot after receiving information about the accident.
Sadar MLA Devendra Rajput reached Hazara Canal with his fellow workers. He expressed grief over the incident and consoled the families of the deceased. Former MLA Hasrat Ullah Khan Sherwani also reached the spot and took information about the entire incident and consoled the victim’s family.
